Restaurant General Manager

G Hospitality is seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team at the Rooftop at the ProvidenceG. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute operational excellence in the restaurant, ensuring high levels of individual and overall performance.
  • Oversee inventory and ordering of food, beverage, and supplies to optimize profitability and ensure consistently strong guest experiences.
  • Manage shifts, including daily decision making, scheduling, and planning, while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, including food and alcohol safety, and maintain a safe working and guest environment.
  • Develop and maintain a productive and fun environment in the restaurant, ensuring employee relations issues are addressed promptly.
  • Establish plans, communicate strategy, and measure specific financial goals to achieve sustained increases in restaurant sales and profitability.
  • Ensure the acquisition and maintenance of a well-staffed top-quality team within the restaurant, supporting managers in recruiting top-quality candidates and ensuring selection system tools are used to select quality hires.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of General management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of fine dining restaurant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable.
  • Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel), Labor Management systems, Inventory systems, POS systems.
  • Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level, including working with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment.
