- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for radiologic examinations, ensuring adherence to established protocols for safety and care.
  • Utilize various radiation protection and shielding techniques.
  • Operate radiologic machinery to capture high-quality images and maintain equipment functionality, reporting any malfunctions to a supervisor.
  • Document completed radiologic procedures and manage related paperwork using computer systems as instructed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, ensuring necessary medical and radiologic supplies are stocked.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Educational Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program is essential.

Experience:
A minimum of one year in Medical Imaging is preferred.

Work Environment:
Work will be conducted in examination and treatment rooms, with potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other typical conditions found in a radiology setting.

Physical and Mental Demands:
This role involves varied activities such as standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting. A full range of body motion is required, including assisting patients and manual dexterity. Candidates should be prepared for extended periods of standing and walking, with occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds. Corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges are necessary.
