Pharmacy Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, to ensure excellent patient care and service.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, including patient safety, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, and loss prevention.
  • Develop and implement patient care programs to promote healthy outcomes and differentiate CVS Health from competitors.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to drive innovation and improvement in pharmacy operations.
Requirements:
  • Active pharmacy license in the state where employed.
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Immunization certification through an accredited organization.
  • Pharmacist in charge listed on the pharmacy state license.
  • Submission of required information/documents to the state PMP administrator for PMP access (in states with active PMP for pharmacist use).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
