Job Summary

The Pharmacy Intern role at Rite Aid is an exciting opportunity for individuals to learn and develop the skills and abilities of a Pharmacist while attending Pharmacy school.

This position is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment, allowing individuals to gain a deeper understanding of the pharmacy profession and develop the skills necessary to succeed as a Pharmacist.

Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with prescription inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Learn and operate Rite Aid's computer system, including inputting customer and prescription data.
  • Develop skills in pharmacy operations, including filling prescriptions, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
  • Work closely with registered Pharmacists to gain knowledge and experience in pharmacy practice.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented environment, providing support and assistance to colleagues as needed.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy program.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
