Join the State of Connecticut's Department of Developmental Services (DDS) - North Region - in East Hartford, CT, as we seek a highly skilled Supervising Psychologist 1 (Clinical) to lead our Public Division, Behavioral team.

About the Role:
  • Full-time position with 40 hours per week
  • First (1st) shift, Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a major independent clinical psychology program
  • Plan, develop, implement, and coordinate new service programs
  • Schedule, assign, oversee, and review the work of staff
  • Provide staff training and assistance
  • Conduct performance evaluations
  • Determine priorities and plan program work
  • Establish and maintain program procedures
  • Develop or make recommendations on development of policies and standards
  • Act as liaison with other operating units, agencies, and outside officials regarding program policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology
  • Two (2) years of postdoctoral experience as a licensed clinical psychologist
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities of all age demographics
  • Experience with positive behavior supports (PBS)
  • Experience and skill presenting on relevant clinical topics
  • Experience in supervisory and leadership roles
  • Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders in written and verbal form
Special Requirements:
  • Incumbents in this class must possess and retain a license to practice psychology in Connecticut
  • Incumbents in this class must possess and maintain eligibility for participation in federal health care programs as defined in 42 U.S. § 1320a-7b(f)
