Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician

About the Role:
The Village for Families & Children is seeking a skilled Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our Adult Services department, you will provide high-quality clinical services to adults in need of mental health support.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and engagement
Determine DSM V Diagnosis in consultation with supervisor, Medical Director, Psychiatrist, medical provider or designee as needed
Develop treatment plans and contracts for services
Implement treatment plans, modifying it as appropriate during the course of treatment
Discharge planning, which may include linkages to community support services
Provides case management services
Completes clinical documentation required by agency and program policies, HIPAA regulations, and funding sources
Requirements:
Master's degree in social work, psychology, or other licensed counseling degree
State of CT license required (i.e. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist)
Minimum of 2+ years of experience postgraduate in an outpatient setting
Bilingual/bicultural skills preferred
Cultural competency to serve a diverse population
Strong diagnostic, assessment and treatment skills for individual, family and group therapy
Extensive experience working with culturally diverse populations, a wide age range, and a variety of clinical presentations
Knowledge of mental health, child welfare systems, and community resources
Good organizational and communication skills
Ability to function autonomously in day-to-day responsibilities; yet seek consultation appropriately when needed
Proficiency with word processing and general computer skills
