Job Title: Principal Program Manager - Linefit

EchoStar Corporation, a leading global provider of satellite communication solutions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Program Manager to join our Hughes Network Systems division. This role plays a pivotal part in leading critical programs in the aviation industry, ensuring the successful implementation and launch of solutions for Hughes.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee linefit projects to integrate connectivity systems seamlessly for installation during the aircraft production process.
  • Manage strong relationships with aircraft manufacturers, vendors, partners, and key stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to implement rigorous quality control processes to guarantee the reliability, performance, and safety of in-flight connectivity systems.
  • Identify potential risks in program execution and develop mitigation plans to drive risks to closure.
  • Manage the development, qualification, and launch of in-flight connectivity systems in compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to establish best practices within the organization.
  • Anticipate and proactively address programmatic, technical, and implementation issues that arise during project development.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost control and resource allocation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of all phases of the aviation product lifecycle, including design, development, testing, certification, production, maintenance, and support.
  • Ability to influence a variety of stakeholders to establish concurrence.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of FAA/EASA STC processes.
  • Prior experience with linefit and retrofit programs in the aviation industry.
