We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Instructor to join our faculty at the University of Tampa. As a Mathematics Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching lower-level courses in Mathematics, including Introductory Algebra, College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Finite Mathematics, and Calculus for Business.
Key Responsibilities- Teach four, 4-credit courses per semester
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
- Engage in professional development to stay current in the field of mathematics education
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, mathematics education, statistics, or other related fields
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and engaging students in learning beyond the classroom
- Demonstrated experience in teaching lower-level courses in Mathematics
- Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds
