RN - Medical 2 Medical Surgical Tele - Los Alamitos - Full Time Nights

This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for synthesizing patient information, assessing and caring for patients, and creating and updating patient plans of care. The nurse will also be responsible for delegating tasks and duties to team members and ensuring that all physician orders are carried out appropriately.
Responsibilities:
Synthesize patient information to develop and implement individualized patient plans of care.
Assess and care for patients in a safe and effective manner.
Create and update patient plans of care as needed.
Delegate tasks and duties to team members as appropriate.
Ensure that all physician orders are carried out appropriately.
Requirements:
One year of acute care experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing.
Current California Registered Nurse License.
Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification.
EKG course or equivalent knowledge within first 30 days of employment.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within first 30 days of employment.
NIH Stroke Scale Certification Course within first 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
ONS Oncology Certification Course (Medical 1).
ONC Orthopedic Nurse Certified (Medical 3).
