About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in our PACU department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized patient care under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and/or Clinical Manager. You will demonstrate organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills, as well as proficient performance standards in performing your daily work duties to meet department expectations.
Responsibilities
- Organize, plan, direct, coordinate, and provide high-quality, individualized patient care.
- Demonstrate organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Perform daily work duties to meet department expectations.
- Work effectively and productively with shared responsibilities.
- Provide physical, psychological, and spiritual needs to individual patients.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and meet customer satisfaction with patients and physicians.
Requirements
- Current CA RN License.
- Current BCLS.
- Current ACLS.
- Current PALS.
- 6 months recent experience as a RN in a acute care facility in PACY and/or ICU/CCU or Surgery Center PACU experience.
- Basic Dysrhythmia Course and 12 Lead EKG Competency Exam.
- Hemodynamic monitoring course.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
- CCRN and/or CPAN certification.
