About the Role

Moss Adams is seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Tax Manager to join our Tax Specialty Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping our clients reduce their tax liability, increase cash flow, and manage risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and running engagements to identify and quantify federal and state research tax credits.
  • Schedule and conduct informational gathering interviews with clients to obtain and organize documentation.
  • Assist in the identification and management of R&D Tax Credit engagements, performing tax research and drafting technical reports and correspondence.
  • Assist with taxing authority audit defense and mentor staff and seniors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Construction Management, or Engineering, with an advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in R&D tax credits or tax compliance, with experience training and supervising staff and seniors.
  • Excellent client service skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with strong research ability and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, tasks, and simultaneous projects, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel up to 20%.
