Position Summary: The Manager of Prevention Programs is tasked with overseeing the organization, implementation, and assessment of primary prevention and early intervention initiatives related to Alcohol and Other Drugs Programs. This role also includes providing essential administrative support to the Director of Prevention and Early Intervention, as well as assisting with the operations of various prevention and early intervention services as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality primary prevention and early intervention services.
- Ensure all programs within the prevention department meet professional standards and provide adequate services.
- Engage daily with individuals in the target population to offer educational outreach and intervention services, making referrals as necessary.
Core Competencies:
- Expertise in health promotion and prevention methodologies, with experience in community health environments.
- Strong understanding of business management principles, including strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Ability to establish and achieve both short-term and long-term goals, utilizing evidence-based strategies.
- Proficient in grant writing and funding research, with excellent persuasive writing skills.
- Exceptional customer service abilities, capable of managing challenging interactions effectively.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a focus on collaborative conflict resolution.
- Experience in budget management and prioritization of tasks.

- Knowledge of mental health practices and emergency response techniques.

Work Schedule:
