Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing activities to support our Quality Management System in conformance with AS9100, AS13100, and customer requirements. This role will involve performing Fluorescent Penetrant inspections in a production environment, making accept/reject decisions, and documenting results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Fluorescent Penetrant inspections in a production environment
  • Make accept/reject decisions based on inspection results
  • Document and publish results of FPI testing
  • Determine acceptability of product based on inspection results
  • Interpret results and determine probable cause of defects
  • Run parts through the NDT system
  • Conduct process control tests
  • Perform NDT inspections for auditors
  • Serve as the primary resource for department supervisors on problem identification, resolution, trends, and continuous improvement
  • Support and maintain the quality system
Requirements:
  • Current Level II NDT Fluorescent Penetrant inspector certification
  • Practical knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 minimum
  • Knowledge of AS 9100 a plus
  • Experience performing FPI for PWA and other aerospace companies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
