POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Financial Services Representative, you will play a crucial role in assisting members with their diverse financial requirements. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional service while effectively promoting the features and advantages of our credit union's products to both prospective and existing members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming members to the credit union with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring prompt and accurate service during all transactions.
  • Conducting interviews with potential loan applicants and new members to gather necessary information and identify additional financial needs.
  • Supporting ongoing marketing initiatives and sales campaigns within the branch to enhance overall sales performance.
  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional financial services to members during interactions.
  • Encouraging members to consider supplementary credit union products during account openings and loan applications.
  • Assisting management in monitoring teller referrals to ensure sales accuracy.
  • Promoting and clarifying the benefits of various credit union services, including IRAs, certificates of deposit, credit cards, and safe deposit boxes.
  • Cross-training for the Assistant Branch Manager role to enhance operational flexibility.
  • Providing support in the teller area as needed, handling member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION & CERTIFICATION

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with some college education preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Applicants should possess:

  • A solid understanding of credit union policies and procedures.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of credit union products and services.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a financial institution or sales environment.
SKILLS & ABILITIES

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in operating relevant computer applications and business equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Capability to meet deadlines consistently.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT

This position is typically situated in an office environment. Candidates must successfully complete pre-employment credit checks, background checks, and drug screenings.
