Job Title: Registered Nurse Assistant Chief

Job Summary:

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Assistant Chief to join our team. As a key member of our Geriatric and Extended Care Department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and leadership to our nursing staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care and develop care plans to meet the unique needs of our patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Lead and mentor nursing staff to promote professional growth and development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines to ensure best-in-class care.

Requirements:

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Geriatric and Extended Care nursing, with a strong focus on leadership and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
