Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and perform routine maintenance on boilers, chillers, and HVAC equipment in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
  • Handle emergency repairs and maintenance in operations as required, and after-hours emergency repairs throughout the campus as required, in an expeditious manner to minimize disruption of services to patients.
  • Inspect facilities and equipment to determine installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair needs as permitted by certificate.
  • Operate, maintain, replace, and repair commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, controls, and related equipment.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair high-pressure steam boilers, pumping units, vacuum pumps, boiler feed pumps, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance and repair.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports.
  • Plan and coordinate installation, maintenance, and repair work with other trades areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in the appropriate trade area or three years' experience at the apprenticeship level of the trade required.
  • DLR-Colorado Driver's License Class R required.
  • HVA-HVAC Supervisor - Tradesmen International required or ENG-Stationary Engineer - Tradesmen International required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Skill in obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
