Join Our Team as a Professor of Practice in Clinical and Counseling Psychology

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Practice in Clinical and Counseling Psychology to join our team at Texas Tech University. As a Professor of Practice, you will play a key role in teaching, mentoring, and supervising students in our clinical and counseling psychology programs.

About the Position

This is a full-time, 9-month position that begins September 1, 2025. The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program. We are looking for someone with a strong background in clinical and counseling psychology, as well as experience in teaching, research, and service.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in clinical and counseling psychology, including practicum and internship courses
  • Mentor and supervise students in clinical and counseling psychology
  • Conduct research and publish in the field of clinical and counseling psychology
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and outreach
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program
  • Experience in teaching, research, and service in clinical and counseling psychology
  • Strong background in clinical and counseling psychology, including experience in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
