Job Overview

Sterling Federal Bank is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Universal Banker to join our team at the Clinton branch location.

This role serves as the Customer Ambassador for Sterling Federal Bank, providing efficient and quality service to customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting teller transactions and cash vault transactions in an accurate and timely manner, as well as providing sales and servicing of all bank products and services.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and have a strong understanding of banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receives and processes customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Provides exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Sells and services bank products and services, including loans, credit cards, and investment products.
  • Operates a cash handling system, managing cash and coin inventory, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Works effectively as part of a team, supporting branch operations and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • High school degree required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a banking or financial services environment, with a focus on customer service and sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a strong understanding of banking products and services.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
