Link Staffing Services has partnered with a leading international logistics provider to seek a QHSE Specialist to oversee areas involving OSHA and other government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and document local OSHA inquiries and investigations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and support a program of observation of safe and unsafe work practices, including disciplinary action with site management.
  • Maintain and oversee site PPE programs, ensuring employee safety and well-being.
  • Develop and implement an Injury and Illness Prevention Program, reducing workplace hazards and risks.
  • Lead site investigations of accidents, incidents, near misses, and other events with serious potential for loss, identifying root causes and providing corrective actions.
  • Responsible for Security/anti-terrorism program implementation, training, auditing, and evaluation.
  • Oversee safety and environmental records and filings, including OSHA logs, SDSs, and Dangerous Goods records.
  • Ensure site QHSE monthly inspections, quarterly self-audits are completed, and open corrective action items are closed in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or Certification in Business Administration, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, preferred.
  • Some experience in OSHA, Safety, and Workers' Comp. ideal.
  • Previous experience with material handling, forklift, and reach truck strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and implement regulatory codes and regulations.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as injury rates and other statistics.
  • Time management and prioritization skills.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
