As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our employees, contractors, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement HSE programs and activities to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to HSE policies and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE procedures and best practices.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on HSE performance and compliance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders.
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in the manufacturing or field service industry.
- Intermediate knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Requires employee to stand for at least 50% of the time.
- Requires employee to sit for at least 50% of the time.
- Requires employee to occasionally climb stairs or ladders.
- Must be able to communicate with, and respond to others, in person, and on the telephone.
- Must be able to occasionally lift at least 10 pounds.
- Required travel no more than 25% of the time.
- Requires work in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
- Requires exposure to loud working environments.
