Internship Experience:

Our internship program offers invaluable experience working with children and families affected by trauma and mental health challenges. Interns will learn to:

  • Engage effectively with clients
  • Conduct individual and family therapy sessions
  • Facilitate group therapy
  • Perform and document clinical assessments
  • Create comprehensive treatment plans
  • Participate in utilization reviews with funding sources

Internship Summary:

This is an unpaid educational opportunity that includes close supervision from a designated clinical supervisor. Interns will observe and assist in family, individual, and group therapy sessions, as well as conduct assessment interviews with clients and families. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining Treatment Plans by integrating assessment data from the treatment team
  • Providing clinical recommendations under supervisor guidance
  • Facilitating treatment interventions
  • Collaborating with community resources on behalf of clients and families

Interns are expected to fulfill all additional requirements set forth by their educational institution.

Additional Information:

Interns must successfully complete a background check, obtain positive references, and undergo TB exposure testing (post-acceptance), similar to our employees.
