We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at The Corvallis Clinic, part of the Optum family of businesses. As a leading clinic in Oregon's mid-Willamette Valley, we serve a diverse population with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and fulfilling careers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide High-Quality Patient Care: Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring seamless coordination with healthcare providers and teams.
- Lead Patient Flow and Preparation: Direct patient flow, prepare patients for exams, and facilitate the collection of necessary information for patient visits.
- Accurately Document Patient Information: Record pertinent information in the Electronic Medical Record and ensure timely processing of necessary patient care documentation.
- Triaging Patient Calls and Prescriptions: Accurately triage patient phone calls, ensure timely completion of callbacks and prescription refills, and document pertinent information accurately.
- Assist Providers with Procedures: Assist providers with procedures as directed, maintain asepsis, and perform invasive procedures for which the RN has the training and skills.
- Monitor Physician Schedules: Proactively monitor physician schedules for accuracy and ensure seamless coordination with healthcare teams.
- Continuing Education and Self-Evaluation: Improve the quality of care through continuing education and self-evaluation of the effectiveness of care, including attendance/participation in in-services/department meetings and remaining current on clinic/department policies and procedures.
- Participate in Cleaning and Orientation: Actively participate in the cleaning of shared work areas, keep exam rooms clean, neat, and stocked, and participate in the orientation and training of new employees.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Registered Nursing: Current unencumbered State of Oregon license as a Registered Nurse required.
- Basic Life Support Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
- Experience in Acute Care and Individual Provider Settings: 1+ years of experience in an acute care hospital and/or in an individual provider's office or clinic setting.
- Working Knowledge of the Nursing Process: Evidence of working knowledge of the nursing process.
- Basic Clinical Skills: Knowledge of basic clinical skills to provide patient care.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work well with providers, clinical staff, and patients, and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of work.
