Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to join our team. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing the financial performance of our hotel by providing exceptional guest service and product. You will also be responsible for leading and managing a team of employees, developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies, and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of financial statements and reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to maximize occupancy and average rates.
  • Work closely with the ownership group to strategize and implement projects that drive business growth.
  • Coordinate and assist with guest satisfaction and guest resolutions.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the restaurant and/or spa, working together to promote the success of the entire Kimpton property.
  • Protect and enhance the value of all hotel assets through maintenance, security, and housekeeping programs.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of financial statements and reports.
  • Coordinate weekly forecasting and planning of operating staffing and cost expenditures.
  • Review and approve all operating expenses.
  • Supervise and develop the performance of all operating departments.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of upper-level management experience in hospitality.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team by example.
  • High level of creativity, enthusiasm, and flexibility.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to convert vision into specific and tangible actions to benefit the property.
