Position Overview
The Senior Litigation Counsel will be instrumental in defining the firm's legal approach and overseeing multifaceted litigation cases. This role necessitates a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience. The perfect candidate will have a significant client portfolio, a cooperative attitude, and a strong litigation background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of litigation, including risk evaluation, strategy formulation, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals.
- Collaborate closely with the firm's leadership to devise and execute litigation strategies that align with business goals.
- Maintain a substantial client portfolio and cultivate strong client relationships to ensure their needs are met and expectations surpassed.
- Work in partnership with colleagues across various divisions to address and minimize legal risks while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
- Provide counsel on a broad spectrum of legal matters, including contract disputes, intellectual property rights, employment law issues, and regulatory compliance.
- Represent the firm in court and before regulatory agencies as required.
- Negotiate and draft intricate commercial agreements and contracts.
- Conduct legal research and remain informed about changes in laws and regulations that may affect the firm.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
- Must possess a client portfolio.
- A minimum of 7+ years of litigation experience.
- Active membership in good standing with the state bar of California.
- Proven ability to manage a significant client portfolio.
- Established history of developing and executing successful litigation strategies.
- Exceptional negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving abilities.
