Job Title: Mobile Device Technician

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Device Technician to join our team at Ozinga Bros, Inc. This role will be responsible for providing Level 1 support for all mobile technologies used in our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide hardware and software troubleshooting for all mobile devices
  • Work with vendors to ensure devices are provisioned correctly and all documentation is maintained
  • Coordinate procurement of mobile devices and work with Telecom Analyst to ensure all standards and processes are followed
  • Provide setup and support to users on mobile devices, including Apple and Android devices
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and rolling out procedures and standards for all systems we install
  • Work with the team to create documentation for the systems
  • Keep current with emerging technologies and how they can benefit our environment
  • Coordinate service with outside vendors and mechanics
  • Provide ad-hoc support as required
  • Document work within Autotask and build support knowledgebase
  • Provide training to fleet mechanics on installation and troubleshooting of systems
  • Ability to work with various MDM solutions such as Sure lock or MaaS360
  • Create 'How To' training material via documentation
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all mobile devices and where they are deployed
  • Work with vendors to test new hardware and features as necessary
  • Assist with general phone support overflow on the Helpdesk line as needed
Customer Satisfaction:
  • Provide communication to company whenever there are major issues/outages
  • Required to maintain excellent customer rapport
  • Maintain excellent communication with users, staff, and management on deadlines and status
  • Deliver, configure, install, and integrate all solutions to the user's satisfaction according to the project plan
  • Coordinate plan with key Business Area Managers to ensure successful completion and customer satisfaction
  • Provide project wrap-up meetings with business areas to ensure satisfaction and look for opportunities to further enhance the relationship
  • Follow through with business areas to ensure all expectations have been met
Time Management:
  • Analysis and management of direct reports' time
  • Timely preparation of monthly status reports
  • Utilize time efficiently, maintain costs by reducing overtime whenever possible, and avoid 'Over Committing'
Global Responsibilities:
  • Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
  • This job may require additional duties not listed above, and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Expert knowledge of Samsung, Apple, Android, and iOS technologies
  • Experience supporting GPS devices, installation of mobile solutions in vehicles, and mobile device management solutions like Sure lock and MaaS360
  • Prior experience working with help desk solutions like Autotask
  • Proficiencies with the Microsoft suite of products
  • Hardware trouble shooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player
  • Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
