This role necessitates a full-time presence in Chandler, AZ, where you will engage in advanced engineering tasks related to RF/Microwave/Millimeter wave communication systems tailored for defense applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive systems analysis and simulate circuit or system performance utilizing analytical tools, including cascade analysis of converters.
  • Perform detailed design and analysis of RF components across the spectrum from VHF to millimeter-wave, including digital receiver subsystems and exciters.
  • Model, analyze, and design filters to meet stringent specifications.
  • Oversee system integration, testing, and development of RF/millimeter-wave hardware intended for spaceflight applications.
  • Explore and assess new communication technologies applicable to spaceflight.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with electrical and environmental standards as well as internal manufacturing requirements.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and support their professional development.
  • Act as a technical liaison for clients, participating in technical meetings and assisting in specification development.
  • Translate customer specifications into actionable design documentation for prototypes and production releases.
  • Document new designs according to established guidelines, including simulations and tolerance analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of test procedures, fixtures, and associated software.
  • Respond to RFQ/RFPs with relevant engineering and production cost information.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in microwave/millimeter-wave design theory and component design, with a proven track record in high-reliability hardware from conceptual design to delivery.
  • Knowledge: Profound understanding of complex communication systems theory, RF architecture, and circuit design, including detailed knowledge of RF and mixed-signal design techniques.
  • Education/Certification: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a Master’s or PhD is preferred.
