Job Summary:

The Senior RF Engineer will specialize in complex technical matters and provide engineering services for RF/Microwave/Millimeter communications hardware systems for defense applications.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of assigned product or program and may lead a team of engineers on assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end systems analysis, modeling, and simulation of circuit or system performance using analytical tools.
  • Detailed analysis and design of RF (from VHF through millimeter-wave) and mixed-signal communications hardware components.
  • Filter modeling, analysis, and design.
  • System integration, test, and development of RF/millimeter-wave communications hardware for spaceflight.
  • Investigation and evaluation of new communications technologies for spaceflight applications.
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet customers' electrical, environmental, and internal manufacturing requirements and standards.
  • Mentorship of junior engineers and others in the area of expertise.
  • Support of internal concurrent design criteria.
  • Technical interface with customers and attendance at technical meetings as required.
  • Translation of customer specifications and generation of design documentation.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in microwave/millimeter-wave design theory and component design.
  • Experience with high-reliability hardware from conceptual design through flight delivery.
  • Knowledge of complex communication systems theory, systems architecture, RF architecture, and RF/Microwave circuit design.
  • Detailed knowledge of RF and mixed-signal design techniques and technologies.
  • Millimeter-wave Radio systems design experience.
  • Magnetic circuit analysis experience desired.
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering; Masters or PhD degree preferred.
