Job Title: Senior Data Center Project Manager

Align Communications is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Center Project Manager to join our team. As a Senior Data Center Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading data center design and build projects from inception to final handover.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Data Center Project Manager to lead our data center design and build projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center facilities design and build, with experience in managing large-scale data center buildouts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead data center design and build projects from inception to final handover
  • Manage client expectations and maintain status documents for client projects
  • Develop budget and project plans during the analysis and design phase of the project
  • Act as the primary contact and counsel to assigned clients
  • Estimate projects and create sales proposals for new business opportunities
  • Responsible for the development of RFI and RFP documents required for bid leveling
  • Manage client expectation and maintain status documents for client projects throughout the project re: scope, budget, billing, schedules and timeframes
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant data center facilities design and build project management experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team building skills
  • Prior, recent experience successfully managing large-scale data center buildouts
  • Knowledge of structured cabling systems, space planning, and HVAC is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior team leadership or managerial experience
  • The ability or willingness to support business development efforts
  • Strong understanding of design drawings including plans, sections, and elevations
  • Relationships with local vendors or data center REITs
