Your role and responsibilities
Formulate, execute, and oversee the Account Strategy for NASCAR and its network of partnerships. Concentrate on enhancing wallet share, overall account expansion, profitability, partnership development, value generation, and customer satisfaction with NASCAR. Provide personal leadership and coordination to stimulate sales order growth across the entire ABB portfolio and influence account teams and business lines to achieve results. Uphold ABB Values and exemplify leadership, particularly in demonstrating Integrity and Customer Focus. Act as the primary contact for additional activities related to the relationship beyond sales, including marketing initiatives, partnership opportunities through NASCAR, STEM and charitable collaborations, activations, and events. This role is remote, and successful candidates will be situated in a major metropolitan area in the United States. This position contributes to the Electrification Installation Products division in the United States. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Crafting a strategic growth blueprint for the account. Investigate and comprehend NASCAR's business landscape and key operational drivers. Identify their requirements, foresee their challenges, and leverage ABB's capabilities to meet current and future demands. Define specific actions for growth beyond routine operations.
• Delivering added value for NASCAR and its partnership network. Monitor the sales opportunity pipeline and generate demand to ensure a robust opportunity backlog with the account, as well as NASCAR's partners and customers (e.g., OEMs).
• Accountable for achieving targeted profitable growth and order intake, along with related objectives for the defined scope. Establish and manage results-oriented workstream leaders to fully capitalize on the relationship with NASCAR and their partners.
• Serve as the facilitator between relevant ABB Divisions and the partner, ensuring seamless communication, resolving issues, addressing payment, quality, or delivery concerns, and enhancing the ease of doing business for the customer.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in customer-facing sales or account management or similar roles.
- 10+ years of industry experience (Automotive, E-Mobility / EV, Electrical) required.
- Business Development experience and a proactive approach to engaging in business development activities required.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce (or other CRM tools).
- Willingness to travel 50% as necessary.
ABB Installation Products Division (formerly Thomas & Betts) specializes in managing the connection, protection, and distribution of electrical power from source to socket.
