Job Summary:

We are seeking highly qualified part-time adjunct teaching faculty to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Spanish Language Educator, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and interactive instructional delivery methods that align with course objectives and facilitate student achievement.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching techniques to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote academic growth.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of Spanish language and literature, and incorporate relevant pedagogical approaches into your teaching practice.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Spanish or a related field, or a Master's degree in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in Spanish.
  • Proven experience in teaching Spanish language and literature, preferably at the community college level.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in online teaching and course development.
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive teaching practices and the ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
