Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Henrico County Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment and therapeutic services to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose communication disorders in students, including test selection, administration, interpretation, and formal report writing.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication needs of students with a wide range of physical, emotional, and cognitive impairments.
  • Provide speech and language therapy services in accordance with a written educational plan, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, school personnel, and outside agency professionals to ensure seamless support for students.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech-language pathology and adapt to changing needs of students and the school community.
Requirements
  • Valid license as a speech-language pathologist issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP).
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
