Position Overview

Team Fishel is seeking to recruit a Gas Fuser/Pipe Fitter with relevant experience for our operations in Rochester, PA. The primary responsibility of a Gas Fuser/Pipe Fitter is to install various sizes of steel or plastic gas piping using multiple techniques. The starting pay range for this role is between $20 and $24 per hour, based on skills, qualifications, and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install new gas mains and services utilizing tools for poly pipe fusion, black iron, and HVAC applications.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related components according to specifications, employing methods such as poly fusion, mechanical joining, threading, and flanges.
  • Conduct inspections, examinations, and tests on installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges and other methods.
  • Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading accurately.
  • Layout pipe systems, supports, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints.
  • Plan the layout, installation, or repair of pipe systems based on specifications.
  • Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machinery, adhering to specifications and utilizing hand and power tools.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is required.
  • A valid CDL Driver's license is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Must meet all DOT requirements, including physical and drug testing.
  • Regional travel is necessary, with occasional extended travel required (Per Diem provided for out-of-town projects).

Team Fishel offers comprehensive on-the-job and classroom training in all aspects of natural gas distribution, including safety protocols, gas procedures, tool operation, and maintenance.
