Position Overview:
As a Lead Cybersecurity Specialist, you will serve as a Principal II Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the realm of Information System Security. Your expertise will be pivotal in safeguarding critical information systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver continuous monitoring and incident response for hybrid cloud and on-premises networks.
  • Assist in identifying, responding to, and mitigating cyber threats impacting client networks.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and briefings that accurately reflect the current threat landscape and associated risks.
  • Facilitate proactive investigations into cyber activities targeting client information and infrastructure.
  • Analyze and report on cyber threats, contributing to the identification and monitoring of network intrusions.
  • Provide support during assigned shifts, including nights and weekends, with a hybrid work model.
  • Develop and implement training standards and procedures, including Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Oversee the training and development of newly assigned analysts.

Essential Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Capability to obtain DHS Suitability.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) focusing on cyber threat detection and response.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, devices, and secure architectures.
  • Proficient in Cyber Security Incident Response training.
  • Current knowledge of cyber threats and the tactics used to infiltrate networks.
  • Understanding of MITRE Adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Common Knowledge (ATT&CK).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud security solutions.
  • Background in computer evidence seizure and forensic analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience as a SME in intrusion detection and incident response.
  • Familiarity with SIEM technologies such as Splunk.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Linux/Windows command line, Python, Perl, etc.).
  • Experience with data visualization tools.

Required Certifications:
  • DoDI M IAT Level II Technical Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA + Security) and an Incident Response Certification (e.g., CEH, GCIH) along with a relevant Cloud Security Certification (AWS or Azure).

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Incident Management, Operations Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required. A high school diploma with extensive incident management experience may also be considered.
