We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Pharmacist to join our team at CVS Health. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in delivering our purpose to bring our heart to every moment of our patients' health. This position requires a strong commitment to patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients. You will be responsible for supporting the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, as well as oversight and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy. This includes patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe and effective delivery of medications to our patients.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our patients and internal stakeholders.
  • Personnel Management: Lead and direct your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of our organization.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate potential risks to our patients and our organization.
  • Workflow Management: Optimize workflow to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed.
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
  • No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
