Job Summary

As a Construction Project Engineer at Russell Tobin, you will play a key role in the planning, execution, and management of multifamily construction projects. You will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Assist in the coordination of all project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to project managers and field personnel, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and specifications.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and daily reports.
  • Field Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, assess quality, and ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams to facilitate effective communication and resolve any issues that may arise during construction.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Cost Control: Assist in tracking project costs and budget forecasts, providing updates to project managers as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work meets the company's quality standards and complies with local building codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in multifamily construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
