About the Role: As a Clinical Educator Specialist at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Medical Center, you will play a vital role in developing and providing diabetes education to patients and their families. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement diabetes education programs for patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective delivery of diabetes care.
  • Conduct educational sessions and workshops for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

Education/Skills:

  • Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in diabetes education or a related field.
  • Strong clinical expertise in diabetes care and education.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in diabetes education or a related field.
  • Experience working in a hospital setting preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

  • Current Texas RN license required.
  • Certified Diabetic Educator (CDE) preferred. If not CDE at time of hire, successful completion of CDE exam within 2 years of hire/transfer date is required to remain in position.
  • Current BLS certification required – American Heart Association.

Work Type: Full Time

Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $140,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
