Our Team

We are seeking a Registered Nurse Clinical Educator II to join our team. This role will assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate clinical opportunities for improving diabetic patient care and staff education.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse Clinical Educator II will act as a liaison with multi-disciplinary departments and services concerning diabetes education. They will develop and provide diabetes education for patients and their families on an inpatient and outpatient basis.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program required
  • BSN preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of three years clinical RN experience required
  • Minimum of three years experience managing the care of patients with both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes
  • Familiarity with insulin pumps preferred

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

  • Current Texas RN license required
  • Certified Diabetic Educator (CDE) preferred
  • Current BLS certification required – American Heart Association

Salary

$80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience
