Join UVA Health's Team as an Echocardiography Sonographer

UVA Health is seeking a skilled Echocardiography Sonographer to join our team as part of our Internal Traveler Program. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to explore the boundless possibilities at UVA Health. As an Internal Traveler, you will have the chance to work in a wide variety of clinical practice opportunities, including Echocardiography Sonography. You will be compensated competitively with other traveler positions and will have the opportunity to renew your assignment up to a maximum of 39 weeks.

Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures.
  • Work in a variety of clinical practice opportunities, including Echocardiography Sonography.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Meet the education and certification requirements for Echocardiography Sonographer certification with either CCI or ARDMS.
  • Hold RCS or RDCS with CCI or RCVT with ARDMS certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Hold American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • No experience required; 2 years relevant experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 100lbs.
  • Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
