Job Summary

The Echocardiography Sonographer will be responsible for performing echocardiograms, interpreting images, and providing diagnostic patient care services. This is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals to explore the boundless possibilities at UVA Health.

Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiograms and interpret images
  • Provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques
Requirements
  • Must meet the education requirement for Echocardiography Sonographer certification with either CCI or ARDMS
  • Must have RCS or RDCS with CCI or RCVT with ARDMS certification within 12 months of hire
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required
