Position Overview:

The Veterinary Practice Consultant for PSIvet is tasked with overseeing a designated territory to enhance the effectiveness of PSIvet initiatives, ultimately benefiting the economic health of community-based veterinary practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently manage the assigned PSIvet territory.
  • Identify and engage new prospects for PSIvet membership.
  • Ensure 80% compliance with member practices within the territory.
  • Advise member practices on the principles of organized veterinary medicine.
  • Educate practices on the advantages and savings offered by approved vendors.
  • Promote targeted vendors, products, and services.
  • Consult with practices regarding vendor compliance and support for group purchasing.
  • Advocate for PSIvet and the group purchasing concept to non-member practices.
  • Address regulatory and legislative matters affecting veterinary medicine.
  • Utilize Staff and Professional Development Modules to enhance practice efficiencies and culture.
  • Complete all required reports and documentation promptly.
  • Input activity data into the company CRM according to established guidelines.
  • Keep management informed of industry changes and trends within the territory.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by PSIvet management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, CVPM, Certified Veterinary Technician, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years in veterinary practice.
  • Experience in veterinary management or outside sales/consultation is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer literate.
  • Knowledge of veterinary industry standards, products, and services.
  • Willingness to travel daily and maintain a flexible work schedule, including some overnight travel and occasional weekends.
