Key Responsibilities- Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate wheel loaders, backhoes, skid loaders with containment box attachments, snowplows, snowblowers, shovels, and other heavy equipment to clear snow and ice from designated areas.
- Manage Crews: Directly supervise and manage snow removal crews, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate with service providers, manage event start times, and check the quality and productivity of crew members to ensure seamless operations.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete event paperwork and area manager reports, fill out attendance sheets, and approve GoLMN timesheets for crew members.
- Pre- and Post-Season Inspections: Conduct pre- and post-season site inspections for all projects to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Report repairs needed on vehicles and equipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Physical Demands: Regularly stand and lift 50 pounds each day to perform tasks and maintain a safe working environment.
- Time Management: Assign sites, manage bulk site and de-icer ordering, and oversee the preparedness of equipment and personnel to ensure efficient operations.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership skills by excelling in snow-related jobs, including plowing and shoveling, and setting a positive example for crew members.
