Job Title: Director of Finance

Submittable is a leading social impact platform that empowers organizations to manage their social impact programs and maximize their impact. We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead and manage our finance integration, strengthen our financial planning and analysis processes, and drive strategic initiatives across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Submittable's financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, management reporting, variance analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and analytical ad-hoc projects related to strategic areas such as product pricing, customer lifetime value, and margin analysis.
  • Partner with functional leaders on short-term and long-range capacity planning and strategic decision making.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes to reduce cycle time and increase productivity across the organization.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of work experience in corporate finance and/or financial planning roles.
  • Experience in investment banking or corporate development a plus.
  • Experience building complex financial models with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, SaaS metrics, and core accounting concepts.
  • Independent and entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Proven track record of contributing actionable insights from data analysis.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate findings; comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences.
  • Analytical and curious mindset with a hunger to learn and grow.
  • Accountable, results-driven, and detail-oriented with a can-do attitude.
  • Passionate about having a positive impact on your team, company, and community.
