As a Technical Field Support Specialist at Independent Software, Inc., you will provide on-site and remote support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment. Your responsibilities will include conducting site surveys, assessing and documenting current site configuration and user requirements, analyzing existing requirements, and preparing specifications for hardware acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and troubleshoot computer hardware and peripherals
Install Windows, software, applications, antivirus, and patches
Troubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment
Demonstrate ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics
Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
Support network upgrade projects or initiatives
Support end-user connectivity needs
Manage time and priorities effectively
Work efficiently with minimal supervision
Proficient in working with end-users remotely
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Windows 7 and 10
Familiar with Active Directory security and policies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Maintain government and vendor-manufactured fiber optic modems, multiplexer, fiber optic/Ethernet cables, and telephone systems
Outstanding communication skills to relate with team members and support workers
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to drive company vehicle
Certifications Required:
Security+
Education:
High school/GED and a minimum of five (5) years of experience
Clearance Required:
Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role.
