Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a team of safety coordinators and provide guidance and support to ensure effective implementation of safety and environmental programs.
  • Conduct regular safety surveys and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees are aware of and comply with safety and environmental procedures.
  • Manage emergency response incidents and conduct post-accident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain environmental reports, including storm water permits, SPCC, CALARP, RMP, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and corrective action follow-up to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Plan and conduct safety meetings and certifications to ensure employees are aware of and comply with safety and environmental procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental health and safety, with a focus on compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations and requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop effective solutions to complex problems.
