We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients, employees, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform safety observations and support project teams to meet safety regulatory requirements and maintain effective management systems.
- Track safety requirements and prepare reports/deliverables for clients and project teams.
- Review and understand the application of Stantec and client safety requirements, Federal and California OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Support performance of environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance and program audits.
- Interact with project managers, EHS team members, and clients to meet task and budget requirements.
- Practical ability to analyze technical data, perform research, demonstrate technical knowledge, and problem solve.
- Strong report and procedure writing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and web-based applications.
- An interest in and/or an understanding of Behavior-Based Safety Programs and Risk Mitigation.
- An interest in and/or experience with development and implementation of safety programs and procedures.
