Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients, employees, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform safety observations and support project teams to meet safety regulatory requirements and maintain effective management systems.
  • Track safety requirements and prepare reports/deliverables for clients and project teams.
  • Review and understand the application of Stantec and client safety requirements, Federal and California OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Support performance of environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance and program audits.
  • Interact with project managers, EHS team members, and clients to meet task and budget requirements.
Requirements
  • Practical ability to analyze technical data, perform research, demonstrate technical knowledge, and problem solve.
  • Strong report and procedure writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and web-based applications.
  • An interest in and/or an understanding of Behavior-Based Safety Programs and Risk Mitigation.
  • An interest in and/or experience with development and implementation of safety programs and procedures.
