Job Summary

Battelle is seeking a highly skilled Security Solutions Test Engineer to join our team in Beavercreek / Dayton, OH. As a member of our Cyber team, you will work on developing, evaluating, and testing unique physical and embedded security solutions for our government clients.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Battelle Cyber Trust and Assurance team to design, verify, and test electronic devices, integrated circuits, and embedded systems.
  • Identify and articulate the strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions, and problem approaches during technical discussions.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to support the preparation of presentations and reports, and provide input, perform demonstrations, or present on assigned tasks during customer meetings.
  • Prioritize and complete assignments with mentoring from senior staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Optics.
  • Experience in semiconductor test and measurement techniques, including electrical, optical, and/or structural characterization.
  • Hands-on experience in sample preparation, tabletop/bench top/ free-space optics, and/or electron microscopy.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for science and technology.
  • Must be a US Citizen and have an active Secret security clearance and be willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with semiconductor and device physics, integrated circuits, and/or microelectronics hardware.
  • Strong bench skills, including digital and analog circuit prototyping, application-specific test & measurement instrument design.
  • Experience in reverse engineering, verification and validation, and/or device processing for fabrication of integrated circuits.
  • Experience designing, constructing, and operating custom test instrumentation.
  • Experience in tool maintenance and repairs.
  • Familiarity with CAD (solidworks, autocad, Bentley).
  • Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or C# for engineering solutions.
