About the Role:This is a critical position that requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices, as well as experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams. The successful candidate will assist in developing and implementing integrated plans for product development, coordinating activities throughout the product lifecycle from design concept phase to release.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with external customers or field-based employees on technical matters, as needed.
- Review, manage, proactively challenge, and control status of project programs and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports.
- Guide and lead teams in achieving the goals of the program, including issue identification, resolution, and contingency planning.
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline and typically 14 or more years of experience.
- Thorough understanding and ability to interpret engineering principles and practices.
- Progressive Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Advanced Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration.
- Demonstrated experience planning, conducting, and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
- Detailed understanding of requirements management, system design, integration.
- Must obtain and maintain a Second-Class FAA Physical.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
- Typically 4-6 years of relevant leadership and/or project management experience.
- Experience managing flight test programs to include: test plan/procedure developments, execution, and reporting.
- Experience leading a cross-functional team and communicating with program management and customers.
- Familiarity with development and execution of program cost and schedule management to include control account management functions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures.
- Experience in FAA and Military aircraft certification efforts.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
