EMT - STAT MedEvac Specialist

UPMC is seeking a Full-Time EMT to join our team at the UPMC Center for Emergency Medicine. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing competent health and medical services in a prehospital setting, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain transport vehicles in efficient operating condition.
- Assist in moving patients and provide emergency medical care at the scene.
- Document patient care, incident reports, and other necessary reports.
- Communicate with medical direction and provide verbal and written reports of patient care.
- Provide assistance to the transporting ambulance and ensure a safe, pleasant work environment for Team Members.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured.
- Interact and communicate with various groups and individuals utilizing customer service skills.
- Ensure quality health and medical care for guests and employees at assigned locations.
- Drive an ambulance in a safe manner following policies and traffic laws.
- Advanced Emergency Medical Technician OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) based on AHA standards.
- Driver's License (per accreditation standards, must be licensed for two years).
- EMSVO required.
- EMT certification.
