Job Summary:

Cashiers play a critical role in providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service at Home Depot. They process transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink and ensure a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Checkout and/or Return transactions
  • Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area
  • Proactively seek product knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities
  • Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
  • Provide first level escalation for customer issues
  • Assist in the supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates

Requirements:

A Head Cashier will position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They will also provide coaching and development opportunities for other Cashiers.

Preferred Qualification:

1+ years of Cashier experience
