Job Summary

The School Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for maintaining all critical documentation records and inputting information from records into the point of sale, POS, and shared spreadsheets. The SNC will assist the regional SNC with inventory data, inputting items into the database, and reconciling it monthly.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist the Lead School Nutrition Coordinator with placing orders, adjusting orders to meet site needs, canceling, and updating orders.
  • Perform due diligence when receiving and entering important documentation into shared spreadsheets/folders.
  • Receiving and creating spreadsheets and documents of data received from teachers, student services coordinators (SSC), and administrative staff, including but not limited to attendance logs, meal applications, and inventory sheets.
  • Cross-checking information between shared spreadsheets/folders within CDE guidelines and Aeries (SIS system) and Titan (POS system).
  • Prepare reports related to food services and school food nutrition activities.
  • Update documentation received from the CDE and consultants, including, but not limited to, meal applications, household letters, and all policies and procedures.
  • Obtain new environmental health permits when needed and ensure all sites have two inspections per school year.
  • Maintaining all current health permits and ensuring all permits are valid and up to date for all sites.
  • Assist in creating monthly menus following the meal pattern requirements of the USDA, the National School Lunch Program, and the CDE Nutrition Services Division
Requirements
  • Minimum two years of work experience, at least one (1) of which is data entry or a year of work directly related to a computer system that requires knowledge of editing and completing source data or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in K-12 education is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, reports, etc.
  • Ability to respond to common customer, employee, and other personnel inquiries.
